For over 16 years, “Santa Jim” Manning has been Massachusetts’ premier Santa Claus, delighting thousands of children annually with his dynamic and interactive performances. With international appearances from Ireland to Australia and a regular spot in Boston’s Annual Tree Lighting, his reputation is truly global.

Jim’s unique path to becoming the beloved Father Christmas began as an AmeriCorps volunteer and English teacher in South Korea. There, he honed his skills in entertainment, using balloons, magic, and improvisation to engage his students—laying the foundation for his Santa persona.

Beyond his festive role, Jim has partnered with big names like Coca-Cola and the Boston Red Sox, and has become a cherished holiday tradition for countless families. A Westchester County, NY native, Jim studied English and Theatre at Geneseo State University and has called Boston home for nearly two decades, where he resides with his wife, Sonya.
